Senior Product Management - Native App

We’re driving a transformation in our customer experience and product portfolio, and we’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the Air New Zealand customer app. This role is critical in realising our vision of seamless, engaging mobile experiences that put the customer at the heart of everything we do.
As the Senior Product Manager for our customer-facing app, you'll be the voice of the customer, championing user experience and maximising business value with a core focus on mobile product outcomes. Your experience in native app development for both iOS and Android will be key as you work closely with development squads to create an app that delivers on our ambitious product roadmap. In this role, you will develop a product vision and strategy, design the product roadmap, and work collaboratively across squads to bring it to life.
This role is ideal for someone with a strategic mindset who is also ready to dive into the details. You’ll navigate a level of ambiguity and the complexity of the airline industry while driving for the best outcomes for our customers. Your experience building native apps and engaging stakeholders across technical and business domains will be instrumental in creating trust and delivering value.
Our successful candidate:
- Has deep expertise in native app product management, with proven experience in developing high profile iOS and Android apps
- Is outcome-focused, placing a customer lens on every decision
- Brings strong commercial acumen, identifying and leveraging market opportunities to enhance product profitability and achieve business goals
- Balances vision with pragmatism, driving value quickly with delivery teams while pushing the envelope on product innovation
- Has a track record of owning and delivering product strategies and creating engaging customer facing app experiences
- Excels in storytelling, effectively championing product outcomes, strategies, and roadmaps across technical, commercial, and operational partners
- Is an agile and strategic thinker who can see the big picture while also solving detailed challenges within the mobile space
- Is an innovative communicator and collaborator who initiates, advocates, and influences effectively.
