Senior Product Manager (Online Retail)
Kia ora!
Air New Zealand's purpose is to enrich our country through connecting New Zealanders to each other and New Zealand to the world, and as a brand promise, we endeavour to offer Manaaki to all our employees and customers - taking care further than any other airline. Our goal is to create compelling experiences that empower and connect, and we expect to lead a significant transformation of the customer retail experience over the coming years.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (Online Retail) to join our Retail Enablement team, in a role that will be instrumental in defining and realising key elements of our vision to be the best airline retailer. This role will suit a self-starter, who is naturally curious and prepared to get into the detail whilst having a strategic mindset.
The Product Manager is the voice of the customer and champions user experience and business value, coupled with the ability to deliver these outcomes. With a deep understanding of customers, business processes and technology, this role is responsible for developing the product vision, formulating the strategy, designing the product roadmap, stakeholder engagement and working in a cross functional team to deliver against it.
Given this role is a newly developed role, there will be a level of ambiguity you will need to be comfortable with, coupled with complexity of the airline environment and the pace at which we work. Your curious nature will help you drive outcomes, and you will have demonstrated you can work with various business stakeholders, building trust and partnerships across a wide group.
Our successful candidate:
- Must have strong experience in building and/or managing eCommerce and retailing digital platforms
- Experience in offer and order management, and/or product catalogue management preferred
- Experience in preparing business cases and managing the RFP process
- Puts an internal and external customer lens on all that you do
- Has a unique balance of vision and pragmatism. We want someone who will push the envelope but work with delivery teams to get value to our customers quickly
- Has a proven track record of taking ownership, creating product visions, and working with cross functional teams to deliver outcomes.
- Brings a unique storytelling capability to how you champion the product vision and roadmap with a broad group of partners including technical, commercial, operations and external.
- Has excellent stakeholder influencing skills and are comfortable navigating across multiple complex business units as well as maintaining strong commercial relationships with external vendors.
- Experience of driving the digital product delivery lifecycle in an agile environment
- Strategic, creative, and analytic thinker
- Strong leader and communicator who collaborates, initiates, advocates and influences effectively.
In return:
You will be involved in development of the product roadmaps from the get-go, so you will get to really stamp your mark on this role. You will join a supportive team who all work well together to achieve great things for our customers and Air New Zealand.
Air New Zealand is transforming its way of working to an agile methodology called Full Potential. This will allow Air New Zealand to get closer to customers, build stronger engagement and allow all our people to contribute, and offers a variety of opportunities to learn and grow your career.
If you have the experience outlined above, please apply now via our Careers site with your CV and cover letter.
