Senior Sales Specialist (Cargo Sales)

Reporting to the North Island Sales Manager, this Auckland Airport-based role sits within our high-performing Air New Zealand Cargo team, known for its dynamic environment and commitment to excellence. You'll thrive working alongside industry leaders, making impactful decisions that directly contribute to Air New Zealand’s continued reputation for outstanding service and innovation.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Lead and grow a strategic portfolio of key accounts, achieving ambitious revenue and market share targets.
  • Cultivate strong relationships across all customer levels, from operators to senior executives, leveraging these connections to unlock growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute tailored account strategies that secure long-term commitments and partnerships with Air New Zealand.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities within your assigned portfolio, driving sustainable market expansion.
  • Analyse account performance to inform strategic actions, continually enhancing customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
  • Prepare insightful sales reports and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timely communication to stakeholders.
  • Lead account training initiatives, keeping customers informed and engaged with Air New Zealand’s evolving offerings.

Our ideal candidate: 

  • Extensive experience in sales, ideally managing significant portfolios.
  • Proven success in strategic account management, revenue generation, and business development.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence and negotiate effectively at all stakeholder levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proactive, driven approach and comfortable working autonomously while collaborating closely with team members.
