Workforce Coordinator - 6 month Secondment

We are seeking skilled and motivated Workforce Coordinators with expertise in Excel, Python, and Macros to join our team at Auckland Airport. This proof-of-concept role focuses on automating repetitive tasks and using data to streamline dynamic scheduling with an innovative, future-focused approach.

As a Workforce Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for manpower planning across the Auckland Airport operation. This role will bridge the gap between planning and execution, enhancing operational efficiency and service quality.

There are 3x 6-month Secondment roles available covering each of the shifts (A, B, & C)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Use workforce software (Inform/RTC) to analyse staffing needs and optimize resource allocation
  • Plan and manage manpower coverage, leveraging Python and Macros to enhance data-driven performance
  • Monitor real-time metrics, adjust staffing proactively, and provide actionable insights for optimising resource 
  • Design staffing models considering overtime, shifts, training, and leave
  • Ensure accurate task assignments, safety compliance, and staff engagement through clear communication
  • Address staffing gaps, escalate issues as needed, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Champion a continuous improvement mindset, validating task requirements, creating a feedback loop with stakeholders 
  • Promote safety, resilience, and collaboration in a high-pressure environment, fostering strong internal and external relationships 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Sciences, Business Analytics, or related field
  • Advanced skills in Python and Macros for data analysis and interpretation
  • Familiarity with workforce management tools, preferably within aviation
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of labour laws, contractual requirements, and collective agreements is a plus
