Workshop Planner

The Auckland Planning Team has an opportunity for someone to join them as a Workshop Planner on a permanent basis, primarily providing planning support for our Aero support shops. This is a day role and is one that will appeal to you if you enjoy managing end to end processes and have an organised and methodical approach to planning across the many different business groups. 

Under the general guidance of the Support Planning Team Leader, you will work together with the existing two Workshop Planners to co-ordinate maintenance, repair, overhaul, and manufacturing work for both Air New Zealand and Customer aircraft and components.  Your role will see you primarily providing planning support for the Support shops however, you will be required to possess the knowledge base to cover for the other Workshop Planners during high demand or absence. Part of the role will be to produce quotes and estimates while working closely with Production for both scheduled and ad hoc activities in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements whilst working within budgetary constraints.

This will be a challenging and rewarding role that will require the successful candidate to have excellent communication and organisational skills, possessing the ability to oversee multiple tasks and projects while providing post / WIP product analysis reporting and invoicing support as required.

Additionally, to be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Project management skills
  • Planning experience, preferably in Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance
  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to all levels of the business
  • The ability to work autonomously being a self-starter yet work equally well as an engaged team player
  • The drive to meet deadlines and expectations while demonstrating a very high level of accuracy.
