Introducing our Air New Zealand all-star Rosie Hay
For nine months, our flight attendant Rosie Hay has been training every week, juggling flying and her two kids, to be a guide for the New York Marathon for a blind 75-year-old man.
Every week, she picks Douglas up from his retirement home in Christchurch and they go for a training run, up to 3 hours sometimes, and she helps guide him and navigate any obstacles.
On November 2023, they set out to run the New York marathon, a lifelong dream for the both of them.
Rosie has been in our cabin crew family for 16 years and is a true inspiration to so many people, doing something truly meaningful in her community and helping athletes with disabilities achieve their dreams.
