Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics

Air New Zealand Regional Maintenance has a vacancy within the Nelson Base. The Air New Zealand ATR and Q300 fleets are maintained in Nelson’s world class hangar and we are looking for an experienced Q300/ATR engineer with Avionics experience to join the business on a full-time night-shift basis.
You will need to hold an CAANZ License, preferably with at least a Q300 and/or ATR B1 rating. This role forms part of a dynamic team that ensures aircraft serviceability and safety, by carrying out scheduled maintenance and defect rectification overnight.
Applicants will have a strong understanding of Air New Zealand and Regional Maintenance values, including Full Potential, with the ability to focus on Safe/Compliant/Efficient delivery through all our activities. You will support the leadership function providing mentoring of the team and will ensure that on-time performance, cost and quality of service are met, whilst ensuring that a safety culture is in place always. You will be a proactive, team player with good problem-solving skills and the ability to use your initiative to contribute to our continuous improvement framework. Strong communication skills especially the ability to research, understand and apply technical information are essential.
