Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Accessories

Air New Zealand Engineering and Maintenance in Auckland has vacancies for a permanent Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Accessories role to join their team. This is a Monday to Friday day position.

In this role you will be performing Component repair and modifications in a workshop environment to support our Air New Zealand Aircraft fleet including Boeing 777 and 787, Airbus A320/321 CEO/NEO, ATR72, and Q300.

Repair work is extensive and includes everything from Thrust Reversers, Flight Controls, Cargo handling components, Flight Crew and BP Passenger seats / components, aircraft lavatory systems, plus more….

We seek a person that is committed to a safe workplace, is passionately customer focused, and who is comfortable working as part of a team. You'll be adept at thinking outside the square while meeting compliance and company legislative/regulatory standards. Strong communication skills are critical, as well as the ability to relate and interact with a wide range of people on a day-to-day basis.

The technical skills you need:

• You will have a strong understanding of the Air New Zealand values with the ability to focus on our goals of Safe/Compliant/Efficient
• Completed Aircraft Trade Apprenticeship - Aircraft industry or allied trade Level 4 National Certificate 
• Knowledge and experience suitable for working on a broad range of repairs and fabrication of products relating to aircraft component activity.

Our Benefits: 
Base Salary starting package of $81000-$120000 (dependant on skillset and experience) per annum, a 4% KiwiSaver match plus allowances (shift, certifications & overtime).
