We’re looking for an NDC Channel Strategy & Performance Manager (NDC Senior Specialist) to join our Distribution team at Air New Zealand. This role is focused on the commercial strategy and performance side of our NDC programme - shaping how we evolve our channel mix, track performance, and model the commercial impact of our transition to modern retailing.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Revenue Management, Sales, Finance and Digital to guide how we scale NDC in a commercially sustainable way. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong commercial instincts, data fluency, and a strategic mindset to help steer one of the airline’s most critical transformations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Shape and evolve the NDC roadmap in line with Air New Zealand’s global distribution strategy
- Provide insight into channel mix, adoption trends, cost-to-serve, and return on distribution investment
- Partner with revenue management to ensure NDC supports commercial goals and pricing strategy
- Track and forecast cost savings opportunities from channel shift (GDS to NDC)
- Collaborate with regional teams on prioritisation of NDC go-to-market plans and adoption KPIs
- Monitor global and regional trade dynamics, identifying new opportunities or commercial risks
- Provide data and strategic input into business cases for future aggregator or partner engagements
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Strong understanding of airline distribution, including NDC and traditional GDS
- Strategic mindset with commercial acumen
- Ability to balance long-term thinking with practical execution
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement across sales, revenue management, and digital teams
- 7-10+ years’ experience at a senior commercial level in complex environment.
