Revenue Management Specialist (Cargo)

With internal changes, to continue this success story and to grow and develop the business, we are looking for a strong analytical, commercially astute and results driven team player to join us as a Revenue Management Specialist (Cargo), based at the Auckland Airport.

This is a role with high visibility to senior stakeholders in a team where divergence of opinion is embraced and encouraged and provides ample opportunity to make a positive impact. If you are looking for a role to supercharge your career, then this is the role for you! 

You'll play a key part in managing capacity and pricing on our International and National Cargo Networks, to optimise revenue while enabling great outcomes for our customers.  You will leverage your commercial intelligence and analytical expertise to help shape the way we define, operate and achieve our strategic business plans and priorities.

As a Revenue Management Specialist (Cargo), you will:

  • Optimise revenue through forecasting demand and implementing appropriate pricing and capacity management strategies.
  • Develop and implementing strategies to respond to competitive and economic changes.
  • Develop analytical models to assess the commercial impact of potential changes to Air New Zealand's commercial strategies.
  • Work in a squad under agile style of working to contribute to our strategic initiatives and objectives across the cargo business.
  • Conceptualise ways to overcome roadblocks in a dynamic airfreight industry.

You will have come from a background where commercial analysis and pricing are focus areas, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI & SQL, or other similar programmes. We are amid a digital transformation and have a large focus on the use of data analysis to develop insights into commercial projects to drive business growth and efficiencies.

As a big picture thinker, you will understand the key economic and commercial drivers that impact our highly competitive environment. You will be a strong communicator and will have a collaborative approach to relationship building and confidence in providing advice to senior stakeholders across the business. This role has helped to develop previous employees and has seen them progress into a variety of different roles across the business.
