We have an exciting opportunity to join our Aircraft Programmes business unit as a Senior Aircraft Programmes Specialist. This role will lead and deliver significant projects on our fleet of aircraft, managing the external supplier base and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to the desired specifications to meet all internal and external requirements.
This is an influential role, contributing to the development and delivery of large-scale business plans, managing comprehensive project budgets, and contributing positively to support senior leaders in the creation of a cohesive and aligned team who are focused on strategic and operational performance.
The Aircraft Programmes team is responsible for the successful delivery, integration and entry into service of some of the largest scale investments at Air New Zealand so ensuring the projects are delivered on time, to quality, and within budget is critical. The successful candidate will be organised and bring with them best practice programme/project management principles.
About you
- Aviation project management or aircraft modification experience is critical for this role.
- Proven experience running large-scale complex development and delivery programmes with multiple internal and external stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the business, including influencing to senior leadership and board level.
- Significant experience with key supplier relationships.
- Ability to work with commercially sensitive and confidential information exercising the highest degree of discretion.
- Preferably a university degree in relevant discipline and an industry recognised programme management qualification.
