Senior Commerical Analyst (Cargo)

About the role:

As Senior Commercial Analyst (Senior Revenue Management Specialist) you'll be the driving force behind analytical thinking and commercial rigor across our most important Cargo initiatives. This isn’t a back-office analytics role—you’ll be deeply embedded in project teams, working alongside product, finance, network, and digital stakeholders to shape decisions that unlock long-term value.

What you'll do:

  • Lead analysis of strategic projects: Evaluate infrastructure proposals (e.g. Auckland Terminal), product development pipelines, and commercial transformation efforts.
  • Own commercial modelling: Translate ambiguous business challenges into structured problems and deliver clear, actionable insights. Build and maintain market forecasting, competitions analysis for cargo long term development.
  • Enable executive decision-making: Develop concise, insight-rich materials for senior stakeholders. Build robust business cases to support investment decisions,
  • Influence across the business: Serve as a trusted advisor across Product, Finance, Operations, and Digital.

What you’ll ideally bring:

You’re a strategic thinker with a strong analytical toolkit and a bias for action. You’re equally comfortable in Excel and know how to turn data into influence.

  • 5+ years in commercial, strategy, consulting or similar.
  • Proven experience driving outcomes across cross-functional projects.
  • Expertise in commercial modelling, forecasting, business casing, or investment analysis.
  • Confident communicator who can engage, challenge, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and proactively identifying the highest-value problems to solve.
