What we do in the Pacific Islands

Rarotonga is our busiest Pacific Island port. Air New Zealand operates from here to Auckland, Sydney and Los Angeles. We also fly to Fiji (our most popular Pacific Island destination), Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga and Hawaii.

Why our people love working here

White sand beaches, crystal clear waters and year-round good weather make working in the Pacific Islands a dream come true for many people. Our great culture and reputation in this region means vacancies attract a lot of applicants. We’re very active in the community, sponsoring major events including the Air New Zealand Cook Islands Tourism Awards, Air New Zealand Triathlon and Air New Zealand Golf.

What you need to succeed

The team here blends the best of Air New Zealand hospitality with the cultural warmth of the islands. Most of them are based in Rarotonga, which is home to 58 of our staff. We usually hire locally but will consider suitable offshore candidates. To be successful in this region, you’ll need to be a real people person who has an understanding of the local culture.

How you can join us

To become part of the Air New Zealand Rarotonga, Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga or Hawaii team you will need to meet our job requirements and have the legal right to work here or be able to qualify for a work permit.
